HOW OPEN LOVE WORKS

Open Love is 14-week immersion into the details of how open relationships can become happy and secure for everyone involved. This course will provide a top-to-bottom look at how successful relationships are built and maintained by those who practice this lifestyle. Regardless of how much experience you have, this lifestyle can be very challenging. If open relationships resonate with your ideals, but the practice of them leaves you feeling emotionally vulnerable, threatened, or a little queasy, you're not alone. All of us have or will encounter moments where our guts don't agree with our heads, and we want to recoil from the moment and people that evoked our feelings. This course works to make navigating such times manageable. Then, to guide you from a place of processing pains to creatively constructing your love life.

WHAT WE WILL DO

Becoming happily open isn't a simple matter of choice - it takes practice, insight, and an open student's mind to develop a vocabulary for our experiences and feelings, and ways of negotiating conflict with our partners that are sustainably win-win. We will hold weekly live video calls with space for interactive discussion and questions. Following the book More Than Two by Veaux and Rickert, we will tackle the various aspects of open relationships one at a time, with assignments to go along with each section and stimulate discussion.

OUR PROMISE

It is our belief that depth and time are necessary to thoroughly explore the intricate web of feelings, values, and beliefs that make up our understanding and practice of relationships. Our promise is that by the end of the term, you and your loved ones will have a full assemblage of tools, language, and insights to employ as you create a love life that fits with your highest values, and your deepest desires.
